So today on my 28th day of techie youth, I learned about remote customer service. A remote customer service rep is someone who reaches out to customers with new offers, solutions, product news and much more to be successful in remote work, you have to have access to a home office or a coworking space, a strong internet is also essential, you need to have good to excellent communication skills, and you need to be able to handle networking outside your comfort zone.
So today on my 27th of techie youth, I learned about getting a machine learning job without a degree. to get a machine Learning job without a degree you have to prove that have the a sufficient amount of experience to make up for the lack of a degree. You can prove you have a sufficient amount of experience by completing Machine learning projects, doing well in Machine learning competitions and contributing to open source projects

QA exists because having a dedicated QA person is a perfect method of optimization through division of labor and specialization. QA testers also cost lower per headcount. So today on my 25th on techie youth I learned about ways to attract major donors to my fundraiser. The first thing I learned about was prospect research. Prospect research means to gather information about your current donors and any potential donors so you can determine which one of them will be most likely to contribute and how how they will be able to contribute. To find major donors you should find people who can contribute a lot and have a high interest in the cause.
So today on my 24th day of techie youth I learned how to grow the revenue of a non profit organization by using automation. In a large non profit organization, there are several moving parts that you need to keep track of in order to be able to run your organization efficiently. Using automation software, a large nonprofit organization can streamline processes like matching gifts and it can help maximize your revenue stream.
So today on my 22nd day of techie youth I learned how to send a pitch email that will actually get answered. The first thing I learned is to never send a cold pitch email if it can be avoided. The second thing i Learned is to have a subject line that stands out from everyone else’s emails and immediately grabs the reader’s attention. The third thing I learned is to not waste the viewers time and just get to the point as quick as possible so you can explain your value proposition.

So today on my twenty first day of techie youth I learned about the skills required to get a job in techie youth working with AI requires one to have an analytical mind set and to be able to solve problems with cost effective solutions. You also need technical skills to design, maintain and repair technological programs. You need to know how to translate highly technical information in ways that other people understand so they can preform there jobs
So today I learned about an executive summary on my 20th day of techie youth. An executive summary is essentially an abridged form of a business plan. They are expected to provide core info about your business the most concise form possible. An executive summary should absolutely include the name of your business and contact info, your elevator pitch. At the top of the summary should be your business model and financials and your customer and the market your providing to.

Today on my 16th day of techie youth I learned about the importance of exit strategies. A target exit strategy is something that every business should have which is a plan of how a company could reach its end with a positive outcome. The most common one is acquisition by a larger company. Another popular exit strategy is for the company to go public and begin trading its stock in a stock exchange
So on my 15th day on techie youth I learned about different types of profit models and revenue streams. I learned that it is often suggested the business incorporate several revenue models But if you don’t want to diversify your efforts you should just go for a single profit stream. I also learned that For every profit model it is important to know where your break even point is which how many sales/ how much revenue do you need to achieve in order to earn more than you are spending. Every new business needs to create a plan on how they will exceed the break even point so they can earn a large profit.
So today on my 11th day of techie youth I learned about entrepreneurship. I learned that an entrepreneurial adventure can be started online or through an actual real life location. Entrepreneurship is unique because a lot of the skills required vary from business to business you might need some experience in coding for a tech company or experience in cooking for a restaurant. It can all be very varied
So today on my 13th day of techie youth I learned about role models and mentors. Role models are people that we look up, and good role models provide us with long term inspiration and motivation to achieve our goals in life. Mentors are different from role models in that they actually teach or give help to those that are less experienced in the field that they are pursuing successful mentorships usually involve the mentor and the mentee having a strong connection.
So today on my 12th day on techie youth I learned about digital nomadism. Digital nomads are people who are able to earn a living online and a able to live by traveling from place to place. They are able to work from nearly anywhere In the world while being able to travel to where they desire. Many common jobs for digital nomads include tutors,bloggers, social media marketers and web developers.
So today on my 11th day of techie youth, I learned about taking care of your health when it comes to work. Poor health can drastically limit productivity so taking care of your physical and mental health is absolutely essential. It’s important to maintain your own health so you can work at a steady pace and you don’t lose your passion for your work. Make sure you try to take some time out of your day to do some exercise.
Today at techie youth I learned all about time management. I learned that it is important to make sure to stay on task and not procrastinate even when you have a lot of time to do the project. Also according to the triangle of scope, when one aspect of a project of increases, another must increase to balance it out. When the scope of a project increases you either need to request more time or a bigger budget.
So today on my 9th day on techie youth I mostly learned about different types of scams And how to avoid them. There are executive placement scams the promise roles that are well beyond the candidates credentials and identity theft scams, where someone steals your personal info to pretend to be you. Now there are a few things to look out for to tell whether something was a scam or not. 1 The job requires upfront expenses from you. 2 You are offered a job without anyone contacting or asking for credentials, and 3, your asked for personal financial info early in the interview.
so today on my 8th day of techie youth i learned more tips about mastering the job interview. during the interview it is important that you show why the company should hire you. before the interview research the company and think of ways you could help achieve certain goals and address current problems. you should also show the interviewer that they wont be making a mistake hiring you. provide insurance to allay the interviewers concerns and come up with strategies to handle any possible objections.
So today on my 7th day of techie youth, I learned more tips about doing good about job interviews. Learned about the concept of elevator pitch which is a brief way of introducing an idea or product that is able to get across a key point or two and is easily understandable. Another key tip I learn about job interviews is that now a lot of interviews are held virtually, it’s important to plan ahead for these meetings so you give your self a better chance of getting hired. For example make sure to clean up you room or practice a few things you want to say and how your gonna say them.
So today on my 5th day of techie youth, I learned about financial management and doing good in a job interview. When it comes to financial management it’s important to know the difference between net and gross income. Net income means your income after necessary expenses like taxes. Gross income means your income before taxes. You should make to estimate your daily cost of money so you could compare it to other locations to find a lower costs.
When it comes to succeeding in job interviews, make sure to always accept the soonest possible date so you can increase your chances of getting hired first and always read all paperwork before signing it so you know exactly what your getting yourself into.
so today on my 5th day of techie youth i learned more tips for working remote and networking. for remote work it is important that you do not agree to preform tasks that are beyond your capabilities or tasks that you feel can't be completed by the expected timeframe. make sure you notify your supervisor to tell them that you will need more time or that you need to learn to accomplish the task before starting it. For networking going to professional conferences and meetups is one of the best ways to build professional connections with people. an important industry secret is that most conference organizers give away free tickets to get influential people to present and to have press and media spread awareness.
so today on day 4 of my journey on techie youth is also the end of my first week here. so on my final day of my first week here i learnd about the importance of my public image and tips for remote work. I learned that employers usually will check your social media when hiring you to see if you have ever posted anything controversial that they don"t want to be associated with so make sure you don't post anything on social media that could affect you in the future.i also learned abot some good tips when it comes to remote work. you should make a schedule for yourself. you should also make sure that you are always on task and that you dont start to slack of or get distracted
So today on my third day of techie youth i learned about correspondence with other employers and i have begun to write my own resume/cover letter and i have made my own. Linkedin profile. correspondence with potential employers means to always answer there inquires rapidly and professionally. a proper manner of correspondence can greatly increase your chances of getting hired for the position you want Now today i started my first assignment on techie youth which was to create my own resume/cover and Linkedin profile. im enjoying this assignment very much because i see as good practice for when i start apply to other jobs in the future.
So today on my second day of techie youth i mainly learned about 2 things cryptocurrency and the process of getting a job. when learning about the prerequisites to getting a job i learn about a social networking platform called linkedin which allows people to network with others to for beneficial relationships. i also learned tips on creating a good resume which was very helpful since a resume is the is one of the foundational components of gaining a job. i also learned about a cover letter in the lesson. a cover letter is wha comes before the resume and is written in paragraphs while the resume is formatted into bullet points. now as for cyrptocurrency, i learned about how a virtual wallet works and the advantages it has over other payment methods like how its safe because it can only be used for sending money to you, not withdrawing it. i also learned that cryptocurrency is very volatile and that its value can very quickly and significantly drop.
So today was my first day experiencing techie youth. before beginning i was a little nervous considering i have never done something like this before but now that i am finished with my first day i can proudly say that it was a great experience and i learned a lot. Today i mostly learned about remote work and was of getting paid. starting with remote work, i learned just how much freedom remote work can give me and how remote work can be much more efficient than in person work. remote work is perfect for people who are able to stop themselves from working all the time and also stop themselves from slacking of to much. Now as for ways of getting paid, that part of the unit taught us how checking accounts worked and the many alternatives like prepaid credit cards and secured credit cards. the unit also gave us advice on how process credit card payments if we ever started our on business.
