Foster Trust is a charitable NFT-based trust fund supporting youth in foster care who are growing up without parents, and who will soon lose their housing when they "age-out" of foster care.

Statistically, most of them will become homeless. When you buy a Foster Trust NFT, you are securing the future for a child who has been removed from their parents and family, and has no one else supporting them.

Who is organizing Foster Trust?

Foster Trust is a project of the Techie Youth charity that helps thousands of foster kids, homeless teens and at-risk youth become financially self-sustaining. Techie Youth is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that began operations in Nov. 2015 with the goal of bettering the outcomes for foster youth who age-out of foster care.

How does Foster Trust work?

A youth's trust gets funded each time their Foster Trust NFT is purchased or changes owners. You are encouraged to resell the Foster Trust NFT for a profit; your successful sale of the NFT will also benefit the youth and advance this Techie Youth program. We suggest that each Foster Trust NFT owner posts the NFT image to their social media, announcing that you have helped secure the future of a youth in foster care, and are offering the NFT for sale for someone else to share in the good-deed.

Upon purchase, the Foster Trust NFT is a unique one-of-a-kind asset that only you will own - you are the sponsor for that foster child. True love is knowing how to let-go; selling your Foster Trust NFT for a higher price than you bought it at further-helps the youth. Profit from your sale is yours to keep, or optionally reinvest into another Foster Trust NFT; a commission from each successful transaction both supports this Techie Youth initiative and is added into the Foster Trust fund for that individual youth.

Foster Trust funds are released to the youth when they age-out of care, to pay for rent/housing or start a business or venture that can lead to their own financial self-sufficiency. Each "item" in the NFT Collection represents a trust fund for an actual youth who is enrolled in this Foster Trust program.

This is a trust fund, not a charity-donation or grant, so the youth will be coached and guided by Techie Youth staff how to utilize the funds in a responsible manner, to ensure that the funds provide them with improved life-stability and potential for career-advancement that will lead to their own financial self-sufficiency.
