FREE LAPTOP GIVEAWAY

Techie Youth is giving away more laptops!

We will be distributing the computers in late-August of 2022 in the NYC-area.

Recipients will be selected to get a free laptop based on need and the content of your submission below, while supplies last. There is no guarantee that you will be selected.

Eligibility

1. This giveaway is only open to youth age 13-21 experiencing extraordinarily-challenging life situations, and who do not already have their own computer and cannot easily afford one.

2. To enter, you will need to create a video; record yourself sharing your opinions on all or most of these topics:

Share something about yourself that is significant to you
Do you have any special talents or abilities? If so, demonstrate them for the camera
What is the most-difficult thing you had to overcome in your life?
Do you have anything about your life or upbringing that you want to share and potentially help others learn from your experiences, be it challenges or good things? Only state things that you are totally comfortable sharing with the world.
What is the best advice that you have ever received?
What life-lesson can you teach others?
What future plans do you have for earning income? What are you doing to make it happen?
What is it about those career aspirations that make them feel right or important to you?

3. Publish the video to YouTube

Requirements for publishing the video:

Set the video-visibility to "Public"
Include the name Techie Youth anywhere within the title of the video
Include https://www.TechieYouth.org within the description of the video

4. Share your video to social media with a link ASKING your friends to also register for a free laptop at https://www.techieyouth.org/laptop

Is this really free? How???

Yes, it is really 100% free. We will never ask you for any form of payment. These free giveaways are being distributed by Techie Youth, a 501c3 not-for-profit registered charity of New York City that has been providing free career-advancement education and related programming for youth since 2015.

When will I know if I was selected?

We will reach out to the selected recipients by mid-August 2022 to coordinate getting you your laptop.

What if I am not selected for this giveaway?

Do not worry, we are working on getting more computers to give away in the future.

What if I cannot pick up in-person from New York City?

Laptop recipients MUST show up in-person and bring photo-ID to get a computer. We will not be able to give a laptop to anyone other than the laptop-recipient whose ID matches the name that is registered on Techie Youth.
