Today as I finished up the Facebook unit I moved on to the next social media platform which was Twitter. Twitter is one of the biggest platforms that the youth uses to spread different things. They spread emotion, awareness, and so much more. It just depends on which "side" of Twitter you land on. Also showing hip to get flowers and likes really fast on Twitter. and how to use it properly.
today I moved on from WeChat to Facebook. Facebook is a platform that was founded in the year 2004. As someone who is in a family where most of them have and communicate mainly on Facebook, I can confirm around 70% of U.S. adults use Facebook haha. Lots of adults use facebook because it is the only social platform app that they can have easy access and easy to use. I learned different things like how to gain followers and likes on facebook posts. I also learned about the different kinds of groups there are on facebook like instant pot community, tasty and peloton. These groups can be either public, closed or a secret group.
Today I finished the TikTok section and moved on to the "WeChat" section. It explained to me what it is and how to use it. It is a Chinese social platform that people use. It is a multi-purpose messaging, social media, and mobile payment app. WeChat can be linked to your bank accounts and credit cards, and using a QR code system enables users to pay for goods and services. It has features enabling money transfer between different people for free of charge, similar to Venmo, PayPal and Zelle. You can also do things like Pay for shopping, Buy items directly from online stores, Purchase train tickets, Pay for doctor appointments, Pay rent and utility bills.
Today I learned about how social networks can also make you money. Learning to have patience with growth and patients with the work you do can become very beneficial in the end to gain attention, followers, likes and profit.
Today I continued going in the role models and mentors component of the "Qualities for life" unit. It was pretty interesting to read to see how people chose who they see as role models. It's someone that has accomplished many great things and is seen as an influencer. However, a mentor is a professional who helps you make decisions and make yourself better than you are.
Today I went over two components of the "Qualities of Life" unit. I went over what is stress management and I went over how to identify positive role models and mentors. I also was finishing up the quiz for the part before which was the health component of this unit. I watched a video of a man explaining how and why he picked his role model, as some other young boys would, and looked up to his father.
Today was basically just me starting the next unit after the time management one. It was Health and productivity. It was taught me about mental health and how to be happy and riding ways to invest in your health in well-being.
Today was basically just me finishing the next part on how to handle better time management when having a job and an outside life or just time management in general. That it can be really hard if you do not know how to prioritize certain things first. It can really take a big negative impact on how your life is being handled. I learned different strategies and tip to help me with time management so if I was to ever struggle with something like that I would know how to handle the situation
Today was similar to what I did on Friday, I was learning more about how to be financially responsible and aware. I was taught my net salary: your income before taxes is deducted. What is the difference between necessities and luxury? Before this, I watched a video that taught me how to handle timing better. Time management is a big deal when it comes to learning to be more financially responsible and aware.
Today I saw the bell that said I have to do an assignment that is based on improving the qualities of life. As I mostly read everything it was telling me how I should have an estimate that is calculated to be financially aware. To have a salary estimate, the cost of living, how to budget, wasteful purchases, and consumables that are similar to necessities.
Today I learned primarily what a technical writer is. They basically do solitary work. They do things like prepare instruction manuals, how-to guides, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. In one of the videos, they also said that if you are an introvert type that this might be a good job which is good because if you don't like to interact much this could be one of the most perfect jobs for you to do.
Today, I spent my day reading many articles about different types of writing. I also learned about what backlinks are. Some of the different types of writers I read about what ghostwriting and guest blogging. Now act I learned about backlinks: they are links from one website that will take you to another. They make connections through external websites. The links used on the outside domain are pointed at your domain.
Today I learned basically what I am doing right now, I learned how to trot e blog and basically what kind of different blogs there is. You can use blogs for personal use or for business.
Today I learned that copyrighting takes a lot of work and precise work to handle. I watched videos and read articles that were precise about what people who work in copyright do, I also learned about self-publishing and traditional publishing.
Today was another day of reading more articles about promoting campaigns. However, I was reading more about how to volunteer at different things and still get money. Usually, when you hear the world volunteer you think of it as community service or similar but this showed me ways that I can get paid for doing volunteer work and showing more about how to grow on social media.
I realized that the one form yesterday didn't upload so I am going to do what I remember from yesterday. So yesterday I learned about how to expand your campaign by spreading it onto different social media platforms and showing the different ways that you can make it seen o the different platforms to make it look professional and straight to the point when the audience comes upon the campaign advertisement. Today however I learned how you have to not only incorporate how it looks you have to incorporate how it sounds. You have to make sure your writing skills are as sharp as they can be when writing whatever it is you are writing, you can not have it look like you don't know what you are talking about. You have to make it not only informational but entertaining as well so the audience isn't bored and WANTS to continue reading it.
Today was kind of a struggle all around I couldn't complete much, I have gotten an email stating that I have done nothing so I was trying to figure that out all day. So I created an account on Linked and since I already had a Resume I sent that and created a Cover page, however, I didn't specify on my cover page what career it is so I left it blank and when I am ready to use it I will fill it in depending on what and where I am applying to.
So based on the past two sections i did i realized that in order to sell or create something for yourself or others that involve receiving money, you need a strong pitch. Not one that would come off too strong because then it might sound aggressive but one that will have people want to buy or give you the things you want.
I have now finished the art section so I struggled to find something new. Cause I was mostly interested in art. I have not completed the actual assignment because I wanted to complete a new section. I have chosen to fundraise. I learned the basic fundamental of fundraising. I shall go in more depth in reading tomorrow.
I learned that there are so many art scams online. Form text messages to links to anything really. It shows that you have to be very careful when it comes to selling and buying art online. The online place is a worldwide business. It is scary and risky to do pretty much anything online. Scams, hacks and all of that good stuff that can be a risk, can come in a simple small thing.
Today I was exploring even more platforms on places I can sell art. Instead of viewing each one with exact time, I spent more time on specific sites than others which ate up most of my time for today. Hence I had to re-log in like 5 times today. I would get caught up searching for different kinds of art whether it was paintings or canvas art.
Today wasn't really much reading and watching videos I was doing research on different platforms for selling art like Etsy. Showing me different plans, and how each site calculates things like fines and profits.
As I was reviewing what I learned and watched yesterday I continued to finish the unit and learned how to sell art on different platforms such as Instagram Facebook and more.
The reason why I chose digital goods online was to first get my foot in the door of how to sell what I chose now. That is art. I always thought about selling art online and having a small side business for the money. I just never knew how to start. Usually, I see artists on TikTok and it's like they started benefitting straight away. After watching and reading I learned that that is not how it always goes. If you're lucky enough then yea you might get customers straight away from left and right. In order to get ideas of what kind of business you want, you need to set the priorities straight. A target audience, something that people can relate to or have a connection to, culture. It is YOUR art however if you are planning to sell you have to come up with something not only you would like, but the people you are seeing to.
I was always interested in how YouTubers or small influencers try to get the ad they were sponsored by to get a specific audience. They don't make their ads seem dull. They make it seem as if you NEED the product. I like that these videos taught me how to grab an audience, keep them entertained, and focus on what you are selling or promoting.
