Marketplaces and Selling from my own website

I learned that a lot of marketplaces have little or no startup costs. I probably won't have to pay for ads or. The downside to it is that there is a lot of competition, I might have to share what I make from my website with the marketplace if I use one of the big ones like Ebay, Etsy, Tindie, or Bonanza.

If I choose to design or create my own website, I would be responsible for customizing the interface that will match my brands image. Plus, a lot of competitors won't be able to see the products that I'm selling. This means that I won't lose any of my customers to them.

I also learned how to use websites that charge a monthly fee like shopify, Wix, Square space, and Weebly. I might create my own website one day to put positive words on T-shirts to help kids overcome being bullied in school.

5 ways to Design Clothes

I learned about clothing, jewelry, and fashion items with wearable tech. I was really interested in Bleach Drawing. It's very interesting even though I don't think that my Mom is going to let me bleach some of my jeans, but it seems pretty cool. Using the bleach pen looks fun and I really don't have to worry about my eyes burning when I use it to draw. I'm not the best artist but I can do a little bit of something.

I have to remember to use Latex gloves and to open a window when I'm doing this because I have Asthma. If my clothes aren't one hundred percent cotton, there is a big chance that they might get messed up.

Dahlia Raz really explained how to do Bleach drawing without hurting yourself and staying safe. I'm really enjoying Techie youth so far. Now I'm going to bother my Mom to see if she will get me a Bleach Pen to draw on my jeans.

Robotic Products

Robotic Products mean that I can create or make something good and sell it. I learned that there are different ways to make robotics.

1. Raspberry Pi projects have to do with being able to make or create cool and innovative projects.

2. Arduino projects are for those people who are driven or passionate about doing things by themselves, like DIY projects.

I also learned about Five microcontrollers for wearables. These are basically tiny computers that allow us to add certain programs to our projects.

1. I like the Stitch kit because it has to do with fashion and technology.

2. The Adafruit Gemma has to deal with small projects that deal with a few inputs and outputs. It's good for people that are beginning to make small projects.

3. The Lilypad Arduino deals with buttons, switches, and LEDs, and can also be used for by people who are interested in DIY projects.

4. Adafruit flora has a cute name and is powerful to use. it comes with a lot of tutorials and can assist you with completing your project quickly.

5. TinyLily mini they say is small lie a thumbnail. You have to use a separate usb converter for programming, they say that it can still be used to do some very great projects even though it's small.

There are a few more articles to read for this topic, but I did enjoy reading and watching videos that show you how to program robotics.

How to Design Products for the Lowest Price

I learned that when you want to create or design products for people by using the least amount of laser machine time to engrave the smallest amount of material sheet, you should try not to go for the most expensive thing. If you want to design something very big you will need to use more materials. this means that you would have to use more laser time to do your engraving and cutting. It all depends on how complex you want your designs to be. If I wanted my designs to have a lot of engraving and cuts in it, means that I will need to use more laser time to complete this.

I also learned how to sell digital goods, digital assets, and how to create them.

The topic on how to create high converting Facebook ad campaigns from local market university was interesting. However, sometimes the Ads on Facebook makes me wonder how long it would actually take me to create one. I also learned how to create a membership site.

I also enjoyed the topic on fundraising and selling computer designed objects and technological crafts.

Artificial Intelligence

Today I learned about creating different Apps, and also how to make them if I wanted to make a living doing that for a job. The videos are pretty cool to watch because they break everything down for you to be able to understand it in simple terms. Artificial Intelligence is kind of interesting because you get to program computers to do that humans would normally do. They can help you translate many different languages, and also help you to make certain decisions.

Product Manager

I've learned how much money a product manager makes a year and how much work that they do. I also learned that there are seven core traits to being a good product manager:

1. You must have empathy meaning that you must be able to understand and also share someone else's feelings.

2. You must be an active listener, by doing this you must be able to understand what the person is going through and try to come up with a solution that would help them.

3. The curiosity part is almost like being nosey because you have to pay attention to your competition, and also try to stay up to date with new technology and be able to get involved with your audience.

4. Intellectual honesty -I learned that you must be able to explain what you learned or researched and also be able to show results.

5. Basic understanding of statistics was interesting because you have to be able to think on your feet and also make good judgments so that your audience would continue to be interested in what you're discussing and trying to offer them.

6. Root cause analysis and high IQ- this means that you would really have to dig deep to make sure that your product makes sense and that all of your dots connect in order for your product to work correctly.

7. Visual communications where you actually can bring your ideas to life, by being able to draw them or develop them on the computer and explore different ways to bring them to life to present them to your audience.
