Techie Talk meets How To Sell Art Online Part 3

Welcome to Techie Talk!

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned /learning at Techie Youth.

Today I learned about ‘Avoiding art scams’. How to stop art scams and some known scammer names that are art-related email scams.

Art scams are ways to exploit an artist who is eager to succeed and may be convinced that the scammer is sincerely offering a useful service or purchase.

Like how very often a scam email will have various misspellings, and grammatical formatting problems.

If you are an artist or know someone who is’ and they may want to see their art represented in an art gallery make them aware of “Vanity” galleries.

Typically art galleries do not request money from you to represent or show your art, but the ones that do are called “vanity” Galleries. These types of galleries are like a “pay to play” game where artists who participate have way more to lose than they do gaining.

Techie Talk meets How To Sell Art Online Part 2

Welcome to Techie Talk!

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned /learning at Techie Youth.

At Techie Youth I’m currently learning how to sell art online, Today i Learned how to use Instagram for selling art and other medias like Pinterest and fainter to promote your artwork, and what you may experience in the process. In order to gain more customers “if your promoting you brand/art online” you need to get you social following up. This is because your customers are your followers and vise versa.

This subject has also helped me discover jobs directly linked to art for example art therapy, illustrator, and art teachers as well. The session taught me about things that I may need before or while selling art online like an art consultant, how to get one and what art consultants do.

Welcome to Techie Talk!

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned /learning at Techie Youth.

Today at Techie Youth I’m currently learning how to sell art online. Being an artist/ photographer myself, the thought of not only sharing my art with others but essentially making a sustainable profit from that outcome has crossed my mind several times in the past. That being said I’ve taken a likening to the current topic and find myself more invested in wanting to learn more outside of work as well.

The content and videos on Techie Youth that I’ve seen since I’ve started this topic are from people that are well experienced with the subject at hand and are confident in their voice so much that they can share the Dos & Do not’s on how to sell art Online, when it’s your personal work or reproduced versions of another artists work.

Techie Talk meets “Online Trading and REITs.” part 4

Welcome to Techie Talk. Today at Techie Youth I learned about Stock,

Cryptocurrencies & Other Types of Online Trading.

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth. On todays techie talk, we will talk about Online Trading but more specifically Real Estate Investment Trusts.

When I first started on Real Estate Investment Trust, now at the time I had only a vague idea of what Real estate really consisted of; now I have an idea.

A Real Estate Investment Trust or ( REIT ) is a company that owns, operates, or finances income-producing properties. By law, 90% of an REIT’s profits must be distributed as dividends to the shareholders.

Since Real Estate Investment Trusts are traded on major stock exchanges, their trading hours are unique to each stock market’s specific trading hours. It’s important to know when to trade.

At this point your probably wondering “can anyone get into REITs? or How do I know it’s for me?”

Well for starters let keep in mind that REITs are for those who want exposure to real estate but don’t want to leave the capital for direct investment, REITs can be a good device for a financial plan.

The idea of REITs is that you have exposure to real estate without actually owning the property directly. It’s also important to know that after hours trading exists within these markets.

After-hours trading refers to trading that occur after the market closes. In the after-hours potential buyers and sellers are marketed by electronic communication networks (ECNS) rather than traditional markets. Due to the after- hours volatility, the opening price for a stock on the following day may be different from the price it was when it closed the day before.

Real estate has proven to be an excellent long-term investment. Buying property often comes with a size able monetary investment.

Techie Talk meets “Online Trading and forex.” part 3

Welcome to Techie Talk. Today at Techie Youth I learned about Stock, Cryptocurrencies & Other Types of Online Trading.

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

On todays techie talk, we will talk about “Online Trading more specifically forex.”

Formerly limited to governments and financial institutions, individuals can now directly buy and sell currencies on forex.

So what is forex?

Forex refers to the global electronic marketplace for trading international currencies and currency derivatives.

It has no central physical location, yet the market is the largest, most liquid market in the world by trading volume, with trillions of dollars changing hands everyday.

Forex, or foreign exchange, Involves the trading of currency pairs; when trading in the forex market, you’re buying or selling the currency of a particular country, relative to another currency. But there’s no physical exchange of money at a foreign exchange kiosk.

Although there are potential upsides when forex trading but keep in mind that there ‘are just as many downsides when trading.

Techie Talk meets “Online Trading Stocks, Cryptocurrencies and Other Types of Online Trading.” part 2

Welcome to Techie Talk. Today at Techie Youth I learned about Stock, Cryptocurrencies & Other Types of Online Trading.

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

On todays techie talk, we will talk about “Online Trading more specifically Stocks, Cryptocurrencies and Other Types of Online Trading.”

In the last blog I went over cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, and Litecoin as well as blockchain. Today we’ll talk about smart contracts. Now Smart contracts are essentially automated agreements between the contact creator and the recipient. Written in code, this agreement is baked into the blockchain, making it immutable as well as irreversible.

And while smart contracts are great in concept, they’re not perfect. This is because smart contracts and blockchain networks are programmed by hand so human errors are possible; that error may lead to exploits.

An (ICO) or Initial Coin Offering is a type of funding model that compares use based on blockchain and cryptocurrencies it is often a form of crowdfunding in a sense that a quantity of the company’s proprietary cryptocurrencies is solid in the form of “tokens” in exchange for financial investment via that currency or mainstream cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

Learning this has given me the base information that will be needed If I ever plan on getting into trade and cryptocurrencies.

Techie Talk meets Online Trading more specifically Stocks, Cryptocurrencies and Other Types of Online Trading.”

Let’s start with ETH or Ethereum. Ethereum is a decentralized global software platform powered by blockchain technology. This is relative to cryptocurrency.

But these different cryptocurrencies wouldn’t be around today without the root, Blockchain.

Blockchain isn’t bitcoin, but the tech behind it.

Blockchain is defined as a chain of blocks that contains information. The purpose of blockchain is to solve the double records problem without the need for a central server.

The block chain is used for the secure transfer of items like money, property, contracts, etc, without requiring a third-party intermediary like a bank or government. Once data is recorded inside a blockchain, it is very difficult to change it.

I learned that as news data comes in, it is entered into a fresh block. Once the block is filled with data, it is chained onto the previous block, making the data chained together in chronological order. As I mentioned before there are over 2,000 cryptocurrencies out there today, including bitcoin and although I’ve only gone aver a few of those cryptocurrencies in todays blog I recommend doing some research on your own if things like stock and cryptocurrencies interest you and you feel it’s a topic you’d want to invest time in.

Techie Talk meets " Entrepreneurship & Getting sales and clients".

Welcome to Techie Talk. Today at Techie Youth I learned about Getting sales and clients.

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

In today's techie talk, while still within the topics of Entrepreneurship, I’ll be discussing “Entrepreneurship and Getting sales/ clients.”

Although you may not agree with what other people do or who they are as a person for that matter, It’s important and to your benefit to find common ground. Listening intently, paying attention to what they have to others, and taking a genuine interest and what is how you make deals and long-lasting business relationships with prospective peers.

By speaking less you tend to command more power; Meaning try to speak only when necessary, people tend to listen to a person who rarely talks because It makes people more interested in what you have to say.

Keep in mind that when selling to someone get to the point. What are you providing to that person, and what is your value proposition?

Be sure to figure out what your potential customers are interested in do not assume you already know. In this aspect to be sure of your value proposition, find mutual contact with the person you pitch to.

Learning this has given me the base information that will be needed in making good negotiations and obtaining clients all while maintaining these same clients' business relationships.

Techie Talk meets Entrepreneurship & Creating Your Product”part 2

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today!

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

On todays techie talk, while still learning about Entrepreneurship, I’ll be diving a little deeper and discussing “Entrepreneurship & Creating Your Product”

In our last Techie talk we discussed, briefly about Minimally viable products (MVP) what is a mvp?, examples, and the purpose of it. On todays Techie Talk we’ll continue to discuss MVPs.

When it comes to entrepreneurship we want to take that vision of a product or service and break it up into smaller steps.

Key points to a good MVP includes the following

To make an effective MVP and turn it into a successful business It’s important to put customers front and center be able to learn from your MVP.

Hints at what we’ll produce in the future to keep customers interested.

Design thinking is complicated. Especially when it comes to health and stability, it takes a lot of work to make a thoughtful MVP and consider all the other people who might use it.

Make a by-change to a product or service based on customers because they don’t want/ need it. This is the business way of saying you need to “pivot”.

The key to a good pivot is listening, as you test your MVP; are you paying attention to what your customers are telling you?

The best thing of your idea is to have a critical eye and a hard heart; meaning pay attention to what customers are using and let go of what isn’t serving them, this is better than losing them in the long run.

“Techie Talk meets Entrepreneurship & Creating Your Product”

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today!

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

On todays techie talk, while still learning about Entrepreneurship, I’ll be diving a little deeper and discussing “Entrepreneurship & Creating Your Product”

Let’s start with your Minimally viable product, What is an MVP you ask?

A Minimally Viable Product, or MVP, is a product with enough features to attract early- adopter customers and validate a product idea early in the product development cycle.

This is because the agile methodology is built on validating and Iterating products based on user input, the MVP plays a central role in agile development.

How do you design your MVP?

To design your an ideal MVP youn should make sure your planned MVP aligns with your business objectives. Start identifying specific problems you want to solve or improvements you want to enable for your personas.

Be sure to translate your MVP functionality into a plan of development action.

some examples of MVPs are “Airbnb” and “Foursquare”

That’s all on creating your product for now but we’ll pick it back up o the next ‘Techie Talk.

Techie talk meets "Financing & How to Obtain Funding" part 1 - 4

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today! Refurbished<

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

In today's techie talk, while still learning about Entrepreneurship, I’ll dive deeper and talk about “Start-up Funding”.

While some businesses can be started with nearly no money, there are referred to as shoe-lining startups. Most companies need Initial capital to be able to reach the breakpoint where the business earns more than It spends.

A critical prerequisite for planning any new company. draft

Techie Talk meets "Fundementals of Entrepreneurship part 4 of 4

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today! Refurbished< Saturday 7/23/2022

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

In today's techie talk, while still learning about Entrepreneurship, I’ll be diving a little deeper and talking about “Entrepreneurship & business formalities”.

On the last Techie Talk, we discussed, briefly, branding. Although not reaching into the full purpose of branding in itself. Today, however, we’ll pick be picking up where we left off.

Now, you may be thinking “But Demetry, why should I check if a business name is available?” Well.. The reason for this my friends is so you stay out of trouble. If you choose a business name that is too similar to a competitor's name, you might find yourself accused of violating the competitor's legal rights; it’s called (“trademark infringement” or “unfair competition”)... This means you could be forced to change your business name and possibly pay money damages.

You can avoid trademark infringement when you choose a domain name.

What is a domain name?

After getting your domain name, It is important to set up a company email address. Methods to set up an email address differ based on who will host the email account. Like Gmail or where you initially bought the domain name from.

Next is creating a slogan.

Keep your slogan short and simple, preferably under 9-10 words.

Ensure it can stand alone - your slogan shouldn’t be a mystery, you want a slogan that tells your audience what your business is without needing any additional information.

Consider your target market you’ll need to consider if your customers are local, national or international.

That’s all on branding for now but we’ll pick it back up o the next ‘Techie Talk.

Techie Talk meets "Fundementals of Entrepreneurship part 3 of 4

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today! Refurbished<

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and discuss to you, the readers, what I learned today on Techie Youth.

On todays techie talk, while still learning about Entrepreneurship, I’ll be diving a little deeper and talking about “Entrepreneurship & business formalities”.

Knowing when to quit, knowing your break-point and thinking realistically by not saying “I’m never going to quit”. Having a plan, being prepared for that possibility or multiple possibilities is a great thing to consider when deploying your business. Once your business is sufficiently planned out, it is time to launch It! Nearly every business will need to create a general business entity and branding for It.

You have to register your business, legally; depending on where you live.

Sole- proprietorship when u think of this you can picture…

Sole proprietors although it may seem great being your own boss and being independent; it does have its drawbacks. You aren’t considered septet from your business, you’re personally liable. This means your business money isn’t separate from your personal assists like your money, car, or house - and your personal assists could be taken in a lawsuit.

Sole proprietors have “pass through status” meaning profits are passed through business owners.

And have to file self-employment taxes.

A partnership is a way for two or more people to share ownership of a business much like…

I also touched on some insight for branding; that we’ll talk about in our next Techie Talk. But essentially I learned that the first step in building your brand is making sure your proposed business name is available.

That’s all on branding for now but we’ll pick it back up o the next ‘Techie Talk.

Techie Talk meets "Fundementals of Entrepreneurship part 2 of 4

Welcome back to Techie Talk! >techie youth today! Refurbrished<

For any new readers my name is Demetry, welcome to my blog where I relay and

discuss to you, the readers, what 'I learned today on Techie Youth.

In today's techie talk I’ll speak a little on Entrepreneurship.

What is Entrepreneurship? Well… what do you think when you think of an Entrepreneur? Often what is described is a go-getter type of person with great connections and networks that they acquired and/ or managed to matriculate through hard work in order to benefit themselves. Someone who might have acquired a sense of “financial freedom.” The word “Entrepreneur” means exactly that, in a sense, Essentially, It is anyone who earns money independently through a business venture that they started or manage.

Entrepreneurship and the people who attempt this endeavor, in my perspective, are held in high regard because the risks can be as high as the profit or higher but that’s expected when joining the entrepreneurial field of work. Entrepreneurship comes in many different forms and can mean very different things; It’s unique because the “hard skills” associated with different businesses vary. Online entrepreneurship especially is unique in that you can start your business venture by simply providing a product or service within any topic that interests you, so long as there are customers and a market for it.

Fundementals of Entrepreneurship - Techie Youth Today!

{Disclaimer: today's TYT will be somewhat shorter than that of previous blogs, a possible name change coming soon}

Hello lovely viewers and welcome back to Techie Youth 'Today! I will tell you what I learned at Techie Youth and hopefully help you gain some info as well okay so to get started.

Today I am currently in the midst of reviewing entrepreneurship and what it is, how it works, and how one becomes an entrepreneur? and how you become successful working in that field.

This blog topic has interested me and has been more impactful to me than the rest that I have reviewed in previous blog topics discussed because entrepreneurship is what I myself want to do. Essentially an entrepreneur is anyone who earns money independently through a business venture that they settled or manage.

The sense and idea of being your own boss, no limit on the amount you could make, and having more financial freedom than you had coming from whatever your background was before, to me are 'amazing. In one of my previous blogs, I talked about Networking and how I really enjoyed learning or being introduced to that as well because having a great social network or building a great network around you takes skill and one of the things you need to be a successful entrepreneur is to have a great network system around you.

A Day At Techie Youth

Today at Techie Youth I Learned about Time Management. I learned how practicing prioritization, planning and just being organized can be really impactful for you the deeper you dive into the work field; but it not only limited to that, these are skills that one can use to improve themselves as a person, outside the workforce. Contrary to time management I also able to learn more into health and productivity; How the two correspond with one another more or less affects the how you perform in-and-out the workplace, wherever that may be. Going deeper into Habits and how it may not seem so but it ‘does affect how people may view you whether or not your looking to be in a position of power. Listening to the ceo of techie you explain this, somewhat humorously and effortless, in his topless convertable (BMW) cruising by the shoreline was in some-form comfortable and easy to digest than if we’re taught in a classroom
