What I've learned from the past 3-4 days

I've learned a lot from Monday till today. I know the ways you must act and present yourself when you are applying for a job, what you should wear, what type of technology you should have when you are in a meeting, what tools you can get that looks great such as when you are in a virtual meeting you can get glasses that doesn't have much glare or light reflecting, how you should set up in a zoom meet such as if possible change to a room that has a white colored wall, come in the meet muted, turn off your video, make sure you are muted when the outside noises are too loud, what type of question you should ask and be prepare of what type of question the employer is asking, etc. I'm almost done with that section so by tomorrow I should be done and moving forward.

What I've learned this week

Hello. I learned many things this week and the reason why I didn't typed my daily assignments was because I was dealing something serious in my personal life but I did work. I've learned that there are multiple job opportunities both in person and remote. Big companies like Amazon and Dell employs a lot of people. There are many other types of companies that offers remote job such as health companies, educational companies etc. Covid-19 made companies see that there are more opportunities to find employees and giving them these options its more easier for them to work and earn money. I have finished this section and moving on to the next one so I am almost done with the first prerequisite.

What I've learned today

Today I learned important things that employers look for when they look for new employees. Employers will look at their social media accounts so they can understand how they are as people so they will know what they will be working in and also another thing I learned was seeing if my name is on the internet. Everyone in the world most likely have their face on the internet so I looked up my name and thankfully there wasn't ant images there.

What I've learned today

Today I continued to learn about cover letters and resumes and how to form a cover letter. I also passed the knowledge quiz for "How to get employed" and completed the assignment for that section. I already had a resume saved as a PDF but i didn't had a cover letter so with a template I seen in one of the links provided in the that section I typed up a cover letter and submitted everything that was required in order to submit the assignment such as the resume and my LinkedIn profile. Today was a great day of work and I am very close to complete one of the Prerequisites so I can move to the elective courses and take action in making money online and better my life style.

What I've learned today

Today I went back to further understand what are cover letters and resumes. I understand most of it by this point, I just want to fully understand it so I can create one sooner. I have a resume but not a cover letter which I need to create one soon which I can use the information I've seen. Today I also went to another section/unit which was about about how to be a entrepreneur, watched a video until I went back to the "How to get employed" and continued to read articles.

What I've learned today

Today I went I learned what a cover letter is (a supportive document for your resume that shows your highlights, skills, qualifications, expereice, etc) and how you should create one. There are 7 tips to make a good cover letter which are, Don't use a boiler cover plate (Don't use the same letter when applying for other jobs/positions), find a direct contact (find out who is the recruiter, learn more about that person and contact him directly), nail the lead (address in your cover letter why you want that specific position such as giving them your history of that field), explain what you'll deliver in their company, sprinkle in some personality (depending on the job), Avoid clichés and don't babble (self explanatory), and add a call to action which is what you want the company to do and what you're going to do in the company. I've also learned that you don't need work experience to make a cover letter. You can put extracurricular activities, education courses, or volunteering and most importantly you need to put relevant information because if you don't there is barley any chance you will get the position you want in the job.

What I've learned today

Today I went back to how to create a resume more thoroughly and I created a LinedIn profile so I can get employed in the future. It took a while to create one because my phone was dead and when they sent me a verification code it didn't work and didn't know what to put such as "recent job" and company. I also read a article that went further in depth on how to create a resume. I also use one of the tip from the first YouTube links and how to present myself well in my LinkedIn profile pic such as putting on a well dressed shirt and a blazer. Tomorrow I will finish "How to get employed" and move on the other section.

What I learned today

Today I went back to "How to get paid", specifically cryptocurrency. I was thinking about doing it for 3 days so I decided to go back to it and learn more about it from the 3 links including the info that Techie Youth provided. I also went on YouTube to further learn how to do crypto and how to secure your coins such as putting your coins in a secure vault and also learned that every day new coins are being created so for people that are doing crypto, don't only invest on the popular ones, diversify on your coins/investment. I also learned that once you put your coins in the vault and you want to take some out, you have to wait 48 hours and (this is for coin base), they will email you that you are taking out coins, please confirm its you, etc.

What I've learned today

Today, I'm still learning about resumes, what to put on them, cover letters, and other tips to show a employer what I can bring. I've learned what a cover letter means more thoroughly which is outlining the reasons why you should get the job you desire for but at the same time if you do not have any job experience, you can put skills that you are good at. Resumes are not set and done, like once you make your resume it doesn't mean you can't add any more things to it, you can add more things into your cover letter and resume because a people, we learn more stuff, gain knowledge, and achievements and those you can put in your resume and cover letter and yes, if you do not have any job experience it will be tough but employers do look at skills.

What I learned today

Today I went into further depth on how to get a job on the other section. I learned a lot about what to put on a resume such as should you put your GPA on your resume and that goes both ways such as if you had a good GPA then yes, you can but if you didn't don't put it and you can put your achievements, your experience, etc. Another thing I've learned was in your resume, don't put "I'm a hard worker" because the employer wants proof that you are a hard worker. Another thing I've learned about was about cover letter and references.

What I've learned today

Today I learned a little bit more about cryptocurrency and beginning to learn about LinkedIn. For cryptocurrency I've learned whats fiat currency which is government issued money used in a country a person lives in. Another thing I've learned was that if you think crypto is losing value, you can just exchange it for fiat but if you think its not losing value you can simply hold it. Another thing I learned in the "How to get paid" part was that if you are being paid in cash, you can be in some danger because it might label you as a thief. After that I've passed the knowledge quiz for "How to get paid" and moved on to "Prerequisites to getting employed" and I've learned that every job seeker/looker needs to have a LinkedIn profile, resume, and a cover letter.

What I've learned today

What I've learned today was cryptocurrency which is digital form of currency that you can invest in and in exchange you get money. When I've first heard about it, I was optimistic because it was something new and i didn't have any knowledge about it. Some people said it is a good investment because you can get paid a lot in the end but others said that it is very risky because you can get hacked and all of your coins will be taken away from you. When I was doing learning about it in the "How to get paid" part, I've learned about what are wallets such as hot and cold wallets which both of them are a little similar but very different. Hot wallets are connected to the internet and use constantly but are vulnerable to get hacked because its always connected to the internet and cold wallets is a safer version of hot wallets, they never connect to the internet because it comes as a USB drive which also means that it is harder to get hack. There are other types of wallets as well such as desktop wallets when you do crypto activities, mobile wallets which is by phone, and web wallets which is crypto activity but only on a crypto website, desktop is only when you download a crypto software. Other things that I've learned was famous types of cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Libra, and Ethereum, and a crypto custodian which they safe guards your private keys through a desktop or by phone, two famous custodians are coin base and Bitgo.

I've learned more about checking accounts and other payment providers on where you can make payments and transfer money. I've also learned which bank has better perks for their customers and how to find which bank can better provide you for your daily banking life such as better annual percentage rates, interest rates, etc. Another thing I've learned was how to endorse a check and which mobile app is good for online banking.
