Today I learned about Retrofit products and Digital Art. I learned about retrofitting products which could actually be a good source of money if someone is interested in it. It basically is when you restore old devices and things of that nature and it is really cool to see how they can restore these things. I don't think its something that I wold personally do but itsgood to know that this is a pathway I could possibly take if I was interested in that.
Today with techie youth I learned about how to design some robotic products. In this part of the unit, I learned about Arduino and Raspberry Pi. I don't fully understand it yet but the tutorials have been helping me immensely. I'm not familiar with this stuff yet but it is really interesting to see how intricate a lot of these designs are and the time that goes into it. Only with a full understanding and good precision can you make these things work.
Today with techie youth I was able to continue learning about 3d products and how to make them and began looking into laser-cut products. I learned that there are many different types of lasers that each have their own uses. In a CO2 laser cutter machine, the laser beam is created in a tube filled with CO2 gas and using that it powers it allowing it to function.
Today with techie youth I learned about how to create computer-designed objects. It is a fascinating process where you have a wide range of things you can make and do using this technology. I learned a lot of the programs used in these such as TinkerCad, Blender etc. I was able to learn how these things worked and I will continue to use it until I gain full mastery of them.
Today I was learning about Product management and the many different aspects of it. I learned about ways to get hired for this position through articles that were provided to me. One of the articles talked about how people in this field are usually picked in part based on how much experience they previously had which can be daunting for someone now entering the field. Regardless I was able to learn that there are many programs from google, facebook etc that are able to get you this experience in order to help put you on the right track for these jobs.
Today with techie youth I was able to learn about R and how it is utilized in the field of data analysis. R is a programming language for statistical computing and graphics. It allows for more organized data entry and is great when fully utilized. Along with this, I believe that as I learned more about Data Analysis that it might even be a career option that I look forward to pursuing. It involves the coding aspect and with R there is a wide range of possibilities
Today I learned a lot about Data Analysis. Data analysts are people who are able to assess how data can be used in order to answer questions and solve problems. They study what’s happening now to identify trends and make predictions about the future. They play an essential role in businesses in ensuring that they run smoothly and how the should operate to stay profitable etc into the future. The job pays well and requires many different skills and takes a lot of effort and time to do well.
Today I learned about the different ways that mobile app developers implement monetization into their games. While reading about this some of the tactics while smart can also be seen as predatory in some ways as they are indirectly trying to push you as much as possible to spend money on micro-transactions etc. It was eye opening to see some of these methods even in games that I myself played or used to play.
Today with techie youth i was able to complete the IOS and android Development sections of mobile app development and learned a lot about the software used in apple watches and was able to look into Swift which is a programming language used in this.
Today with techie youth I learned about IOS Development and started to become more informed about its uses and it really caught my interest. I will continue to look more into it as it also aligns with the career path that I am planning to pursue for myself.
Today with techie youth I am currently still working on figuring out how I can make this website which is proving to be a bit of a challenge but so far I have been enjoying sowly figuring out things to get it to work. Along with this I looked for a little bit into the music production section and it has caught my attention a little bit.
Today with techie youth I have been working on the website for the web development assignment. It is pretty challenging so far trying to figure out how to start it but I am learning a lot and I believe that I should be able to get it working. I already have knowledge of some of these coding languages from the unit and will use these and apply it to the creation of this website.
Today I went back to the web development section and began the assignment where we have to make a simple website. Today I tried to look at many examples of different websites for inspiration and as i continue this assignment I will be slowly learning how to code and put together a website in order to complete this.
Today at techie youth i continued learning about AI technology. Ive started to really dive into a lot of the data side of it and different ways that people have jobs and make money through the use of this technology.
Today with Techie Youth I began to dive deeper into the realm of computer science and began learning about AI technology. I started researching and seeing how these things were made and was amazed to see all the possibilities that come with this technology. I am currently working on a guided project and continuing to research and trying to gain a better understanding of this.
Today with techie youth I continued learning about web development. So far it has been challenging but I am slowly learning more and more about the different parts that go into making a website. I started the assignment and doing research for starting to make my own website and hopefully, I can figure it out and make a decent start website as a start.
Today with Techie Youth I was able to continue learning about programming languages and the different syntax that each language has. The more that I see videos about these languages I'm able to see that there are some similarities between different programming languages but then in other aspects they may be completely different.
Today I learned about the python programming language and it really opened my eyes to the things you could do with it. I was able to see it implemented into making a website and I am currently trying to learn more so that I can eventually make my own.
Today I learned some things about data analytics. I watched some videos on how to add google analytics to my own website in case I wanted one. I learned that using HTML you can code it directly into your website and I saw the steps it took to do it. After this, I learned about node js and PHP. Node js is a coding tool that uses javascript and is able to run this javascript code outside of a web browser. Then PHP is a widely-used open-source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development.
Today at techie youth i was able to continue learning about databases. I watched some videos. I was able to learn about the many different terms that they used such as database transactions, database files, instances and clients. I also learned about different "Keys" such as the primary key, unique key, candidate key that all play an important role in managing databases.
Structured Query Language is a computer language that we use to interact with a relational database.SQL is a tool for organizing, managing, and retrieving archived data from a computer database. I was able to watch some videos and learn more about how to set it up and how many different parts of it works and interacts with each other.
I learned about WebPress websites today. I was able to learn how to make one my self and along with this I learned about SVN to help me manage files and information for these websites.
Today with Techie Youth I learned about how Website administration is important. through the videos that I watched I was able to learn different ways that I am able to host my own website in case, I might want my own. Along with this, I learned how to get it online using different methods and programs.
