Today at Techie youth I learned new information about what business analysis is. Most analyst roles are remote. Business analysts are the problem solvers of a company their roles are very important. Data analysts collect and process data. Their main job is to use data to help a company make informed decisions regarding operations.
Today at Techie youth I learned about different fundraising methods to help raise money. One of the first ones I learned about was crowdfunding, I had no idea what that word even meant in the beginning. Crowdfunding is a way to raise funds for a specific cause or project by asking a large number of people to donate money, usually in small amounts, and usually during a relatively short period of time. I also learned about social media campaigns which basically means using social media to reach other people. There were plenty more methods given but these two were definitely my favorite.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about certain rules I would have to follow as a video editor. I also learned to keep a positive attitude that would make working with directors and others pleasant. I also learned to keep my work in a positive flow that way I don't feel cramped. I also learned about the reaction of certain shots such as reaction shots.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about how to become a video editor. Techie youth showed me how to market myself so that I could be hired. They also taught me how to network on different platforms to seek jobs. I learned about proper ways to reach out to potential clients and how to build good relationships with said clients in order to keep them coming back.
Today at Techie youth I learned about grant writing. Corporations and grant-making organizations for granted money can fund charities and non-profit organizations. Writing grant proposals means. following guidelines for the specific proposal, it is also changeable based on the application. Techie youth also went over the strict rules to ensure no mistakes were made. I also learned about how their are hybrid and remote options for grant writing.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about all different types of blogs and how versatile they can all be. I learned that some people blog recreationally while for others it is a full-time job. Techie youth set me up with all the information to start up my own blog. They provided me with resources that can help me succeed in my writing.
Today at Techie Youth I learned about writing books. I learned about the process of getting a book published. I also learned about the pros and cons of traditional versus self-publishing which I didn't even know existed. They also outlined both in case I was interested, catering to any possible needs. They also showed me best-selling authors speaking about their experiences writing their own books. They also emphasized the importance of feedback. They even showed me online forums and communities for aspiring authors.
Today at Techie Youth I explored the writing course, typically writing isn’t my strong suit, however, I saw a subtopic about magazine writers and I love magazines. I learned that writing for magazines does not require any specific expertise which seemed to fit with my standards. Techie youth told me about different skills I would need for writing magazines as well as salary. I really liked this course because it is very broad and open, there is so much to choose from to write about.
Today at Techie Youth I decided to explore the service course. This unit focuses on jobs that allow you to trade your skilled time for an hourly wage. The subtopic that really caught my eye was digital marketing. Digital marketing is the promotion of brands to connect with potential customers using the internet. I chose digital marketing specifically because it is something that I feel correlates with my interests. I read articles to learn about the basics of the digital marketing industry as well as the experience needed to fulfill roles. Overall learning about digital marketing was a fun experience and I hope to learn more about it in the future.
Today at Techie youth I chose to learn about IOS app development with Apple. I learned about the native coding language that apple uses. I even watched an overview of how to program in Xcode for iOS development to help me learn how I can build a basic app. I also learned how to make my app more appealing that way it could attract other users. The course also went on to talk about the Apple Watch. It becomes more important to include watchOS integration so that an app interfaces with Apple Watches that way it can attract more users. In the end, I took a quiz about IOS app development to test my knowledge of what I had learned for the day!
Today, while at Techie Youth I chose to explore Artificial Intelligence (AI), as it may be a possible career choice for me. Techie youth showed me step by step what working in AI looks like. I watched a video that showed me what a life of an AI Machine Learning Engineer at J.P. Morgan looked like every day. This made me put myself in the engineer's position to see if I enjoyed it. I was also shown what the salary for an AI engineer was. I also learned how versatile AI engineers are; some work remotely and others don't. Some of them have college experience and others have little to no experience. Overall Techie Youth really opened my eyes to a new path in life that can help me save TIME and MONEY in the FUTURE!
