I then started learning about Adobe Premiere Pro. I learned about the download and setup, and then watched videos on how to use the software as well as a few tips and tricks on how to save time while using the program.

Forex and REIT Trading

Forex is a combination of the words foreign exchange and is used for trading money between foreign currencies. The aim of converting your funds to currencies with the most substantial increases in value relative to other currencies as a means to increase monetary value. I also learned advanced strategies for making money on Forex as well as what to avoid in order to not lose money.

I also learned about REITs, which are also known as Real Estate Investment Trusts, which are trusts whose portfolios investors can invest in by buying shares of the company's portfolio. Since they are publicly traded, they can be purchased similarly to stock on stock exchanges. The reason for this is that by investing in a REIT, you are investing in a company that manages and purchases real estate. You, in turn, as an investor will be paid through dividends.

Trading cryptocurrencies

Today I learned the main differences between trading cryptocurrencies vs. stocks. I also learned where you can buy and trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I learned that each sale of cryptocurrency is transactional that each transaction gets recorded in the blockchain, and there is a small fee paid to the "miners" who handle this, which is what miner transaction fees are. I also learned the risks of trading crypto, and the taxes involved.

I also started learning about Forex trading, which is trading currencies, as well as a few tips and tricks while using Forex.

Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

Today I learned the basics of blockchain. I learned that cryptocurrency is fueled by blockchain technology and how both brought along an important digital innovation- smart contracts.

I also learned about ICO - an initial coin offering or initial currency offering and how it is a type of funding model that companies use based on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. It is a form of crowdfunding where it is sold in the form of "tokens" (coins) in exchange for financial investment. The tokens are promoted as future functional units of currency if and when the ICO funding goal is met. I also learned how companies typically utilize an ICO as a source of operational capital, very similar to going public and having their stocks traded, except that an ICO is unregulated.

Today I learned about obtaining funding for your new startup and how most businesses need an initial investment to be able to reach the break-even point.

I also learned that an executive summary is the abridged form of a business plan. I learned this as well as the components of an executive summary which include the business name and contact info, the elevator pitch, the business model and financials, the customer and market, the team and co-founders, as well as the risks and uncertainties.

I also learned about the importance of branding and how to make a good slogan logo and website. I also learned about company mission statements and what to look out for when hiring a logo/branding designer.

I learned that there are many profit models to explore and that a business should incorporate several revenue models as a contingency and how it is essential to know where your break-even point is - how many sales or how much revenue do you need to achieve in order to be earning more than you are spending.

I also learned about how every business should have a target exit strategy (which is a plan of how the company could reach its end).

I also learned about business entity formalities, such as sole-proprietors, corporations, and partnerships. I was also told about Employer Identification Numbers (EIN) and their significance to corporations.

I watched a video featuring Andrew Ethan Zeng who holds a corporate job while also managing time to work on his various side hustles. I also watched a video of how CEO Elliot Daigneault spends a typical day in the office.

I also learned how Social Media can be a large factor in success. Vanessa Lau demonstrated how she uses these platforms to help grow her target market for her online ventures.

I began a crash course on entrepreneurship by listening to people such as experts from MIT, Elon Musk, and others. I then transitioned to learning about leadership skills. I learned about great leaders' attributes and how to become an exceptional leader. I also learned how to confidently make a public presentation, speak prolifically in front of an audience, and engage listeners. My favorite video was the one by Patrick Winston, which was very engaging, informative, and hilarious.
