Today I learned about the methods of online funding. Crowdfunding is the act of raising money from a big number of people. To have a steady source of funding and donations, one must keep in touch with their donators. Some methods to do that is to keep them updated with similar projects or with emails. Corporate giving is driven by the employees and their investments. In addition, some virtual ways to raise funds are watch parties, social media, and game tournaments.
Today, I finished my writing assignment. I wrote about Techie Youth and their causes. I learned that 80% of homeless people were once in foster care in the past. In addition, most of the youths in foster care end up on the streets, involved in crime, or addicted to drugs. Techie Youth's goal is to prepare youth to be self sufficient in the future. In addition, there are many ways to approach your donors such as giving them a pitch through the phone, email, or in person. When one gives a pitch, it must contain relevant details about your goal, steps to achieve such goal, and more.
Today, I watched videos and read articles about backlinks and technical writing. Backlinks are for references to other websites and sources. Technical writing is for people who have trouble with a topic. It is explained and taught through clear and concise wording. Backlinks can help a company by expanding their ppc and allowing them to know the info in which they could appear for a web search. Backlinks are a signal that shows which is more important and interesting. Technical writing is important because it conveys ideas to others in a technical and logical manner.
At Techie Youth today, I learned about blogs and copywriting. Copywriting is used to persuade while blogs are used to inform. A copywriter's job is to write words that are clear and concise for ads, websites, and marketing. A blogger's job is to inform others about info such as current events and niches. There are many different kinds of blogging. Some include blogging as a hobby, blogging as a full time job, or corporate blogging. In addition, a copywriter's average salary is about 70k a year.
Today, I learned about magazines and journals. Magazine content usually are composed of current events, sports, and fashion. They are short articles which cover broad topics. Journals are usually professional and are written by experts and researchers. The audience for journals are for the scholarly audience while the audience for magazines are the general public. In addition, journals have to be peer reviewed first before publishing while magazines are reviewed by editors.
I watched videos about producing music today using different kinds of music producing software. I learned of the various chords progressions. I also learned of how to create a catchy melody, beat, and tempo that would make a song successful. A drum mixer can be used to create beats. Digital Audio Workstations are also a necessity that a producer must use to create songs. Audacity is among the most-common audio editing platforms because it is free and open source.
Today, I learned of possible remote careers one can do in the music industry. Some of those careers include being a song writer, music producer, or music teacher. For most of my time today however, I worked on the executive summary for a product. I reviewed the components of what an executive summary is supposed to have and used that to make mine. My product was a self warming cup.

Adding keywords into the headline or description allows for people to find your website easier. Another way to boost seo is to use advertising. Today, I read articles about art scams and galleries. Art Galleries are seen as controversial. There are many art scams related to art galleries. Some of these scams is a large sum to pay to be featured in an art gallery. Another scam is the promise of being successful when a part of the art gallery. Both the artist and gallery should benefit from artwork being used. In addition, some common misconceptions about art galleries include the artist just bringing in their artwork. Selling art is a process that could be quite difficult but the reward that comes out of it is big. Sharing your creativity with others through art makes us able to connect with one another. To promote one's art, they can share it on social media or advertise it on online stores. Their art has to not be plagiarized from another artist's work. Facebook, SquareSpace, and Shopify are common websites for selling art. An artist can even create their own website to promote and sell their artwork.
At Techie Youth, I learned all about social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. These are all social media which can promote businesses and help with our daily lives. It can also be used to make money and grow one's fame. I do not use Facebook. However, I do use twitter and pinterest. I use Twitter to keep up with the trending hashtags and pinterest for browsing ideas. Facebook groups are used widely among adults. They can be used for talking about shared interests. I learned of the methods of using social media to promote businesses. Using affiliates and getting paid sponsorships are some of them.
Today, I learned about how social media can be used to to expand one's branding and products. Firstly, I reviewed some statistics about what Instagram is and how it is used by people. I also reviewed what TikTok is and how it is used by people. I use both of these platforms regularly so I am familiar with them. What I'm not familiar with was how to grow your social media account and use it to promote a company and make money. I use social media for personal reasons not business reasons. In addition, I learned to edit pictures using a variety of apps and programs. Appealing pictures allow for more connections.
I learned about how businesses get sales and clients today. I watched a series of videos on what would appeal to customers and how negotiations are a big part of sales. Negotiating allows for a better deal which impacts the future of the company. I also learned about hiring. Hiring employees is an important process in the well being of a company. Your employees should have the right ideals and should be able to contribute to the company. In addition, I watched videos on how to stand your ground and be able to get your ideas across through an effective way such as being able to not talk at times.
Today, I learned about the branding of new companies. There are more many components to think of when creating a new product or company. Firstly, the name has to be unique and memorable. The slogan should be catchy and interesting. The logo should be easy to identify as well. I read articles on how to create a good business plan. The business plan should be able to have investors know exactly what your hopes of your product are and the finances that are involved with your product. I also did my quizzes again.
For this day, I watched videos on how to start a business. There is a lot of planning involved to start a business. All business however, are not always successful. Although failure of a business is not expected, it isn't necessarily all that bad. Failure allows for clarity and improvement for the future. In addition, I learned of profit models. There are a few components to profit models. I also read articles about revenue. Starting a business means accounting for everything and having a well thought out plan. One must think of product costs, delivery costs, advertising costs, salary for employees, and more.
At Techie Youth, I watched many videos about entrepreneurs and what makes them successful. A good entrepreneur needs to know how to communicate well with others, focus on tasks, have a good business plan, and get connections. I do not think I would make a great entrepreneur. I also watched a few videos on the day in the life of entrepreneurs. Their schedules include a lot of meetings and they are very productive. Those entrepreneurs know how to manage their time while sustaining a healthy lifestyle.
Today, I reviewed the content of stress management and mentorship. Stress comes in many ways and to manage such stress can also be done in many forms. Some forms of managing stress healthily are journaling, talking to a trusted friend or adult, or exercising. Stress is something that everybody deals with and although there are times when the stress is overwhelming, it isn't impossible to overcome. In addition, I learned of the differences between a mentor and a role model. They can be the same person but a role model is usually someone famous while a mentor is a professional that offers you insight and advice regularly.
At Techie Youth, I learned about time management. This is a crucial topic for me to learn because there are sometimes when I feel really busy and other times when I feel as though I am not productive as I can be. This topic taught me how to utilize my time to the best of my ability by making deadlines and prioritizing certain tasks over others. This lesson will benefit me for the future. I also learned how to keep my health and body in the best shape. Exercising is a habit that everyone should inhabit because it eases the mind and makes a person more productive. In addition, I read an article about how to be happy. It was very helpful.
At Techie Youth today, I learned of the many financial aspects of life. I watched a video where they defined certain terms related to money such as gross and net income. I also read articles on the difference between necessities and wants. Necessities are things you need to survive, while wants are things that is preferred to make your way of life easier. In addition, I learned of budgeting. Budgeting is a must if you want to account for all your finances and pay. It is one step closer to achieving one's financial goals because budgeting helps with organization and savings. The info I learned today would really help me in the real world in the future and possibly now.
Today at Techie Youth, I learned about the basics of job interviews. I watched videos on what to do to prepare for job interviews and what to avoid doing for job interviews. Some things to do to prepare for job interviews are researching about the company beforehand and finding more about the interviewer to strike a friendly and engaging conversation. I also learned about tips and tricks of interviews. Eye contact and active listening is a must when you are in an interview. In addition, I practiced a mock interview.
There are many different ways to get paid in the present day. One can get paid through physical cash, a check, cryptocurrency, or through online transactions such as PayPal. All of these options have their own ups and downs. When using a check, one could steal it as long as they have their signature. I also learned how to properly write a check and what it means to endorse a check. In addition. I learned of the differences between PayPal and other online apps.
