Project planning is Key

The estimated recurring-costs of doing business

Fixed recurring payments that are required for selling your items, such as monthly subscription fees to sell on a specific website or the cost to host your own website. These are fees that you will need to continually be paying but are not related to sales quantity, so you will pay the same amount whether you sell 1 or 100 units. Fees that change with sales-quantity should be included as part of the cost of creating each item, not here.

How much profit you will make from selling one item

This is calculated by first taking the gross-profit (the price that the customer pays for the item) and deducting both the costs of consumables to create the item and any costs of doing business such as shipping expenses (calculate for both the postal fee and for packing materials), payment processing fees (i.e. how much PayPal keeps for processing the credit card payment) and/or commission fees (i.e. how much eBay keeps after each sale.)

Do not include tooling or recurring costs in this equation.

Economies of scale

Any anticipated economies of scale that may apply to your project within a short timeframe, and how that can increase your profit margins. For example, if you have a 3D printed product and the initial units will be created by outsourcing the printing to a company; after successfully selling the first 50-units, you plan to invest in buying your own 3D printer which will reduce the per-unit costs in exchange for incurring an initial tooling cost.

Make Sure Your Proposed Business Name Is Available

To stay out of trouble, familiarize yourself with the basics of trademark law, which prevents a business from using a name that is likely to be confused with the name of a competing business. If you choose a business name that's too similar to a competitor's name, you might find yourself accused of violating the competitor's legal rights (called "trademark infringement" or "unfair competition"), and you could be forced to change your business name and possibly pay money damages.

There's only one way to ensure that you won't violate someone else's trademark rights: Do some digging to find out whether another business is already using a name that's identical or similar to the one you want to use.

Unfortunately, there's no one place to look when searching for conflicting business names. In large part, this is because a business can establish a trademark simply by using it -- and millions do just that. You must use different search tactics to hunt for both registered and unregistered trademarks.

Tips for Slogans

What is a slogan? A slogan is a catchphrase that represents a product or company and communicates the key benefit you want consumers to associate with your business. And if crafted with care, it can keep your brand front and center in the minds of consumers — until they’re ready to buy. Read on for inspiration and tips to help you create a compelling, unforgettable slogan:

If you’re creating a new product or business slogan, you want something that represents your brand and is easy to remember. Some well-known slogan examples are:

Just Do It. (Nike)

I’m Lovin’ It (McDonald’s)

Finger Lickin’ Good (KFC)

Melts In Your Mouth, Not In Your Hand (M&Ms)

Identifying your customer and market

Those are slogans.

A slogan is a quick, catchy phrase that identifies a brand. But looking at these examples, do they really tell you anything about the brand? Do they present any benefits or address any solutions?

Nope.

They’re catchy, and that’s cool. But it doesn’t present a product’s value.

The defining feature of a value proposition is that it offers value. It should:

Convey the reason people should choose you over anyone else.

Propose to your target audience the value only you can offer.

Be specific.

Address the problems that you can help your customers solve.

Ultimately, this makes the value proposition one of your most important factors in producing a conversion.

A value proposition is a statement of what’s different and highly valuable about your product.

Skills Of Every Entrepreneur

While a successful entrepreneur has, by definition, built a successful company, the skill of business strategy is actually the fifth most important skill that an entrepreneur needs. Often, entrepreneurs achieve success in their businesses through their own sheer strength of will.

By employing effective communication skills, sales skills, a deep focus, and a high ability to learn, an entrepreneur can actually learn a business strategy on the fly. When structuring and growing a business, however, it's important that the structure and growth strategy is based on sound business sense and skills. A successful entrepreneur needs to have a solid strategy to take their business from good to great. The soft skill of sales goes hand-in-hand with the communication necessary to be successful. As an entrepreneur, this person needs to be able to sell anything and everything. An entrepreneur needs to sell the business idea to potential investors, the product or service to customers, and themselves to employees.

If an entrepreneur is able to communicate effectively, they are better equipped to sell their ideas and physical products.

In the beginning, it's natural for entrepreneurs to be the first salespeople at their respective companies. Those sales skills are necessary to demonstrate value for all stakeholders inside and outside the company.

The path to successful entrepreneurship is riddled with ups and downs. There are the highs of successes and the despairs of setbacks. A successful entrepreneur needs to be able to focus so they can stay the course when the going gets tough.

This skill can also be thought of as thinking with the end in mind. No matter what struggles an entrepreneur goes through, a successful entrepreneur has the focus necessary to keep an unwavering eye on the end goal and can push himself to achieve it.

The ability to learn is one of the most important skills to have in life, let alone in entrepreneurship. If someone is building a business, however, the ability to learn is required for success.

The ups and downs an entrepreneur goes through are unavoidable. An entrepreneur needs a high ability to learn—and a desire to learn. If a person is able to learn in any situation, even failure, they have the skills necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Failure can help expand one's knowledge and understanding of business.

entrepreneurship skills

An entrepreneur refers to someone who builds or operates their own business. By having an equity stake in the firm, the entrepreneur can enjoy a great deal of profit if things go well; but, they also take on a great deal of risk—far more than a regular employee of the business. This entrepreneurial risk can take several forms, including financial risk, career risk, emotional risk, or overall business risk.

Since there is so much at stake when it comes to starting and growing a successful business, there are very specific skills that an entrepreneur usually needs to be successful. Below, we highlight five such attributes.

Entrepreneurship can be quite rewarding, but also comes with several unique risks.

To mitigate the risk of financial loss or failure, it serves a business owner to have a certain set of skills.

A great entrepreneur must be able to effectively communicate, sell, focus, learn, and strategize.

An ability to continuously learn is not just a key entrepreneurial skill, but also a very valuable life skill.

Growing a business requires a sound strategy based on inherent business sense and skills.Entrepreneurs play a key role in any economy, using the skills and initiative necessary to anticipate needs and bringing good new ideas to market. Entrepreneurship that proves to be successful in taking on the risks of creating a startup is rewarded with profits, fame, and continued growth opportunities. Entrepreneurship that fails results in losses and less prevalence in the markets for those involved.

Instagram tools

Business profiles on Instagram aren’t all that different from Facebook business profiles.

Through Insights, you can view statistics like impressions, engagement data, and more.

You can even get a breakdown of the demographics of your followers, including information on their age, gender, location, and most active hours.

This varies widely and depends on:

The quantity of followers/likes that you get

The amount of sponsored promotions that you do in collaboration with other brands on your Instagram theme page

According to some sources, you can earn:

About $100 per 1,000 followers

Between $250-$750 per 1,000 engagements

How To Use Twitter: Critical Tips For New Users

Twitter is where news is broken, links are shared, and memes are born. It's also a place for chatting with friends. Yet unlike Facebook, Twitter is public by default. And that's not a bad thing. It means your jokes can go viral (if they're funny) and in addition to your friends, you can interact with your favorite journalists, athletes, artists, or political figures, all in the same space. Generally speaking, tweets show up in the order they happen. At the top of a Twitter feed, you'll see tweets that are only a second old. New tweets appear at the top, pushing the older ones down. If you haven't signed on in awhile you might get a box of recommended tweets you may have missed, but outside of that the equation is simple: The further down you scroll, the older the tweets get. This immediacy has made Twitter the go-to place to watch protests unfold around the world, follow and comment on sports games or TV shows as they happen, and make fun of celebrity missteps right when the news is hot. The best (and sometimes worst) part is that the people sharing information and tweeting photos aren't necessarily newscasters. Anyone can be a reporter or a cultural critic on Twitter, and that's led to a universe of diverse viewpoints, all amplified organically.

Tweets can contain links, photos, GIFs, or videos. But if you're tweeting text, you're limited to 280 characters. It used to be 140, which was even more stifling, but once you get used to it you'll learn to love the brevity. It helps make your tweets pithy, and there's much less rambling you have to read when scanning other tweets. Some even say Twitter helps us become better writers.

Money Making Guide to Snapchat

Snapchat is a mobile app created by Bob Murthy and Evan Spiegel developed in 2011 to give users the opportunity to share images and videos.

It is unique in its spec to delete the message after seeing it. That’s why recipients cannot save or share it. Snapchat allows users to share weird and audacious images with complete confidence privacy.

This app is also amusing. You can do more than just selfies. You can add emojis, masks, or filters. It has the Discover section, where 16 solid media outlets (VOX, MTV, BuzzFeed, etc.) publish their news and other content from their websites as snaps. It permits the presentation material in a non-standard format. You can also make video calls via Snapchat. This business model is based on the app’s ability to analyze the audience’s desires, to select the most engaging moments and to allow data use for getting profits. They use the psychological method that suggests temporary things are the most valuable. Sure, you’d like to consider how to monetize Snapchat in depth.

Quality of Life

The way we think about health and health care is changing. The two factors driving this change are the recognition of the importance of the social consequences of disease and the acknowledgement that medical interventions aim to increase the length and quality of survival. For these reasons, the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of health care are often evaluated by their impact on a patient's “quality of life.”

There is no consensus on the definition of quality of life as it is affected by health (health related quality of life). Definitions range from those with a holistic emphasis on the social, emotional, and physical wellbeing of patients after treatment1 to those that describe the impact of a person's health on his or her ability to lead a fulfilling life.2 This article assumes it to be those aspects of an individual's subjective experience that relate both directly and indirectly to health, disease, disability, and impairment. The central concern of this paper is the tendency to regard the quality of life as a constant. Perceptions of health and its meaning vary between individuals and within an individual over time. People assess their health related quality of life by comparing their expectations with their experience. We propose a model of the relation between expectations and experience and use it to illustrate problems in measuring quality of life. The implications of these concepts for the use of quality of life as an indicator of the need for treatment and as an outcome of care are discussed.

Healthy Lifestyle

Healthy habits can reduce the risk of various diseases, including those that may run in your family.

For example, in a recent study, adults who followed a standard American diet (rich in fruits and vegetables) for 8 weeks had a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

In another 2020 studyTrusted Source, researchers found that every 66-gram increase in daily fruit and vegetable intake was associated with a 25 percent lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

In terms of exercise, as little as 11 minutes a day may add years to your life. In a 2020 study, researchers tracked more than 44,000 adults. Those who got 11 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity each day had a lower risk of death compared to those who only exercised at that intensity for 2 minutes. This comparison held true even if people sat for 8.5 hours every day.

Health and Productivity

Health and Productivity:

We've heard that health can improve a worker's productivity by improving their physical capacity. But to be more accurate, improved health can improve a worker's ability to be more productive. Productivity is largely a factor of an employee's desire to work. Just because they have the physical capacity to do more work doesn't necessarily mean they will.

Recent evidence has emerged to indicate that perhaps workplace health programs do in fact play that pivotal role in enhancing an employee's desire to work. The human factor is simultaneously an organization's greatest asset, and its greatest liability. High performing, healthy and productive employees are the gears that drive a business whilst a dive in employee productivity applies brakes to those gears ultimately slowing profits.

"The Brain Behind The Big Bucks"

today I learned about conserving the money you earn.

money is the basic unit of living, and is required by every human being on a day to day basis.

No matter how much or how little you're paid, you'll never get ahead if you spend more than you earn. Often it's easier to spend less than it is to earn more, and a little cost-cutting effort in a number of areas can result in savings. And, it doesn't always have to involve making big sacrifices.

An important step to consider when trying to get ahead financially is budgeting. After all, how can you know where your money is going if you don't budget? How can you set spending and saving goals if you don't know where your money is going? You need to set up a budget whether you make thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
