I'd say most people trap themselves in leases of cars that they can "afford" but prevent them from ever affording anything they actually want. See how a cheap daily can get you into Ferrari ownership in a matter of years. Most end up doing nothing more than driving mediocre cars and spinning around the automotive depreciation cycles for decades.
