What is Google Analytics? | Explained for Beginners!

Hey guys! In this video I'm going to be answering the question "What is Google Analytics?" and explain how it works!

So what is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is an awesome plugin that allows you to track & analyze all of your website traffic. And "traffic" is just another word for the visitors to your website.

So what does Google Analytics allow you to see?

Well it lets you see a lot of things such as:
1. How many total visitors you get,
2. Where they are coming from
3. How long they spend on your website
4. Which of your pages they are visiting most
5.Age
6. Gender
7. General Location
8. And much more!

So having a website but NOT having google analytics is like driving a cruise ship with a blindfold on. You have no idea where you're going with it and will likely go in circles without ever reaching your desired destination. Especially if that destination = an online income.

So how does Google Analytics work?

Well lets say I have a website. And the main goal of this website is to sell a product or maybe promote some kind of service, and then finally, get paid.

And lets say I am running ads to my website on Google, Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook

Now once I install google analytics, I will get a special code that will be inserted into my website to help with tracking. And don't worry, you don't need to know any coding whatsoever to get this up and running. Just click here to watch my step-by-step video on How to Install Google Analytics to WordPress:

So that code will then track where my website visitors are coming from so that I can see which ad or which platform is generating me the most to the least traffic.

And once the visitors are on your website, this special tracking code will help you see how many people are leaving you website before buying you product as well as what page they are leaving from. SO it could be the homepage, it could be the landing page for your product, or it could be from their checkout cart. That way I can figure out what needs to be improved on my website so I can keep more people going down that funnel all the way to purchasing.

Google Analytics gives you LOTS of helpful stats about your audience/visitors so you can target the best majority demographic and hopefully grow your website bigger and better.
